(Work completed at Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture)
Master planning was particularly important for this undeveloped parcel on a hilly site in Sonoma County, CA. Working with architect David Baker, the team created a series of grading studies and cut and fill calculations to determine the best building elevation and configuration with optimal views and vehicular access.
The client planned to actively participate in the landscape installation once the major elements were constructed and needed a site master plan that would give them the site structure they needed to realize their vision.
The master plan created a welcoming front entry, a central courtyard and pool, an outdoor kitchen, vegetable garden terraces, a structured pond, a small vineyard and a wine cave as well as pedestrian and vehicular circulation.
