RUTGERS UNIVERSITY LIVINGSTON CAMPUS: OPEN SPACE DESIGN GUIDELINES
(Work completed at Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture)
Working within an established new campus master plan, the team created street, materials, planting, site lighting and site furnishing open space design guidelines for the 125-acre Rutgers University Livingston Campus in Piscataway, NJ. The materials and planting palette established a pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular circulation hierarchy, and created a cohesive design vocabulary that could be used to define each space for future development. This language was applied to specific project areas to create unique spaces that feel distinct while still tying into the larger campus.
